From the makers of the Witcher TTRPG and Cyberpunk RED comes Shadow Scar, a tabletop RPG where you’ll take on the role of an Agent of the Shadow Scar Agency, the multiverse’s premier and only paramilitary fighting force. Agents of Shadow Scar are warriors in the Veil War, waging a hidden war against yokai, monstrous creatures from Japanese myth and legend, across four different worlds. Through their missions, Agents ensure the safety of their homelands, protect other worlds from corruption and chaos, and help uncover the mystery of the apocalyptic force known as Yomi.
An Elegant Dice System
The Shadow Scar’s Mosaic System is designed to be simple and easy to learn, with all resolutions utilizing a pool of six-sided dice. Roll dice equal to your appropriate Statistic and Skill and check the values. Every value of 4 or greater is a Success while rolls of 6 are considered 2 Successes. If the number of Successes you get is equal to or greater than the Difficulty Value (DV) of the task, you succeed. Otherwise, you fail at your task.
A Focus On Stealth
As Agents trained in ninjutsu, stealth is your greatest ally. Sneak past your enemies and find ways to counteract special senses like night vision, keen hearing, and motion sense. Get close enough and utilize the Assassination System to silently eliminate the enemy, but keep your eyes peeled as you never know when your foes might try to assassinate you themselves!
A Multiverse Of Adventure
The Mosaic is a vast multiverse with a wide variety of different worlds. Across the Mosaic you can find worlds where sapient plants have consumed civilization, worlds where people use magic to bend the forces of life and death to their will, and dimensions that appear to be 16 bit videogames of high adventure. Among these worlds are the four realms where the Veil War is being fought. It’s up to you to take the fight to the Yokai and save humanity from the abyss.
